VTL was a flagship company of the Vardhman Group, an integrated textile manufacturing group which had a presence across the textile industry value chain in India. The company manufactured cotton yarn, synthetic yarn, woven fabric, sewing thread, acrylic fiber, and garments. At the end of FY16, VTL was the second largest producer of sewing threads in India.
